This book represents a clear evidence for how muslims look at the prophet Jesus(PBUH) and how they advocate for the purity of his mother(Mary, the virgin). Based on what we know from the holy Quran, the true revalation of Allah (God), and from the prophet Mohamed(PBUH) saying, Jesus did not calim that he was god/Son of god. The story of Jesus in the Quran is nearly consistent with what unitarians(christians rejecting the concept of trinity)beleive in about Christianity. Mr. Ahmed Deedat, a highly reputable scholar in comparative religion, did an excellent job in this concise book to explain how Muslims look at Jesus.... According to Deedat's book, it is part of Muslims's beleif to accept Jesus' Maricles, Jesus' prophethood to the jews( he was the real Jewish Messiah), the purity and virginty of Jesus' mother(Mary the vigin), and above all the creation of Jesus by God's word (BE) which is, to some extend, similar to creation of Adam however, Muslims do not beleive in Jesus divinty especially the claim that Jesus is a form of God(the concept that has been derived from the hinduism since Hindues do beleive in incarnation of God in multiple form a few thousands years before the emerge of the christianity). Besides, Muslims do not believe in Jesus reserrection and the concept of salvation. This book is highly recommended for people interested in comparative religions and correction of misconcepts about Jesus (PBUH), the beloved prophet of islam.

Professor Esposito takes a closer look at the historical development of two great Islamic institutions: Islamic law, (the Shariah) and Islamic mysticism (Sufism).

Islamic law has been seen as the ideal blueprint guiding Muslims' correct action, that is, what to do in their public and private lives in order to realize God's will.

Sufism resulted from efforts to experience a more direct and personal sense of God. Both law, the exterior path to God, and mysticism, known as the interior path, developed as responses to what was perceived as the abuse of the enormous wealth and power in the Islamic empires.
